Amy qualified from the University of Birmingham with a BSc in dental hygiene and therapy in 2009 and has had a varied dental career thus far, working with both general dentists and specialists both in private practice and at the Birmingham Dental Hospital.
As a Dental Therapist Amy carries out treatments such as fillings, local anaesthetics and tooth whitening and can also provide hygiene therapy for gum disease.
Amy also provides dental treatment for children by placing sealants and fluoride treatments to help prevent decay, and if necessary, filling, extracting or root treating baby teeth.
She understands how one’s past experiences can make attending dental appointments difficult for some but she has had a great deal of experience helping extremely anxious patients to improve their oral health. Amy will always carry out treatment at a pace and in a way that you are most comfortable with.
Amy admits to having a very peculiar accent – which according to everyone she knows changes from day to day! This comes from being born and raised in Canada and travelling across Western Europe.
Amy has lived in Norway, Northern Ireland, Germany and England! Amy has now made her home in Warwickshire and enjoys nothing more than throwing on her wellies and exploring the local countryside.
